It's depend on ur manager. Stay cautious with manager before disclosing anything. The Manager I got was pathetic.. He did fun of ur health issues in one to one conversation. They lack empathy. Always record ur conversation with manager or technical lead to save urself in future. Old days culture of Microsoft gone.. This is just like any other organizations u ever worked with. All depend on manager and his perspective on u....Read More

I like the transparency in the work environment and also everyone including your manager would help you to achieve your goals and development.
Salary is really an issue. Microsoft was known for salary compared to market. But these days big consulting companies providing 30%-40% more package than microsoft. No parties No onshore Cost cutting No Annual party

1. Brand!! One of the top-listed organisations, in almost every IT engineer's milestone list. And it proves that well once you're there. 2. Skilled people all around. 3. Wide and varieties of opportunities to learn and grow. (But this has a lot of grey areas.. check out the dislikes section for details.) 4. The best cafeteria and campus architecture among all other IT companies.
1. Job security. 2. Appraisals. 3. Work culture. 4. Unethical and partiality mindset of mid-management and top-management level towards the Engineers. (This can be observed at large scale in departments like: Azure Core(IaaS/PaaS support team), Microsoft Edge, Windows Support, LinkedIn) 5. Quid pro quo practices can be observed in some departments. They take this seriously in India locations like: Noida and Bengaluru. 6. They hire you and fire you within even 6 months time. So think twice before joining!...Read More

There was a great learning opportunity and innovation happening which we got to be a part of. The focus on customers, growth mindset and diversity and inclusion are definitely a plus. Leaders always care for your growth and have open conversations for the same.
Nothing to add.

Read Microsoft Corporation Reviews based on designations
Great place to work, the facilities you get here are if not the best but certainly better than most companies in India. Access to vast sources of knowledge, tools, repositories for upskilling. Opportunities to interact with one of the best engineering brains is truly rewarding.
HR only comes into the picture during layoff and severance package discussions. The annual rating system is ambiguous, management in Microsoft Services org isn't very transparent where one has to satisfy or come in good books of the reporting manager. Biggest turn off is if someone isn't able to perform in a particular team and wants to leave the org and join a different one within Microsoft, manager never assists and will rather backstab the person....Read More
Work policy: For this role, the hybrid model totally depends on client requirements, but usually it isn't more than 3 days onsite per week.

Work life balance, lot of time available to spend with family or workout, can bring family to work
Recently not giving hikes, promotion to boot lickers, layoffs even though company is doing good, no onsite trip, morale budget freeze, over hired/crowded, politics, lots of dummy projects
Work days: Monday to Friday (Flexible Timings)
Flexibility to work from home. Ample learning Free food and cab facility Employees are well taken care, but less importance is given to IGD (GDC) Project are good and environment is also good for learning and growth.
Lack of transparency and fairness in performance reviews and promotions. High pressure and long hours, always email on utilization and multiple projects. The promotion hike in GDC is 5% only standard. 2 promotions in 2 years but 5 % hike

Wide range of products and numerous teams.
Moving between the products is extremely difficult and everything needs a good networking. Horrible politics in some teams. People just want to get promoted for some reason. Majority of the engineers are not even interested in technology. Managers are pathetic. They are somehow surviving.

Higher than market compensation in India except for AWS and Google. Flexibility to work from home.
Frequent firing of people without any justification. No clarity of way forward. No appraisals in spite of WORLD RECORD BREAKING PROFITS. Just blind cost cutting everywhere without thinking of impact.
Work days: Monday to Friday (Flexible Timings)
Good people to connections at a peer level, no so much so at the leadership level
The firm is not set up for a high performance culture, as much as they wish and push top down. They just cannot give commensurate rewards, it’s not in their DNA, promotions are always late, and pay is peanuts. Eventually the ones they like will be put up for promotion ahead of you. All the conversation about culture is a sham, whenthe going gets tough, it’s “show time”, screw the people. As a firm, they don’t hire the best, so there’s a big pool waiting to come, so they don’t make good efforts to retain employees. You won’t get a market correction unless you resign with an offer...Read More
