Ministry of health and child care is the board that deals with the wellness of patients at a national level. Especially considering that i work at a central hospital, the place offers training services. For example post basic qualification like midwifery. Job security is 100% guaranteed as long as your behavior doesn't contribute to losing the job.Teammates are always available to support one another where there is need and are very motivational.Due to proper duty allocation, work and social life are well planned so that workers have time to rest as well.Salaries are monitored by the government and for the time being i can't complain, my needs are met at a standard value.

Dislikes

Everything else seems to be well when one works at a government institution as compared to the private sector. The only issue with the government sector could be salaries and benefits which should be upgraded and increased most of the times.

Work

I love my job and i get a feeling of satisfaction at the end of the day. I would gladly say work is fabulous.

I am working with MOH kenya, I got enough experiences and learnt how to work under pressure and stressful situation handling patients and giving quality care at my own level.
While still working with MOH,I was sent to several training and learnt new skills and knowledge in managing several conditions or diseases.
I was also appointed as facility in charge that is rural health centre, i practiced and improved in leadership skills.
I was working with a number of nurses, collaborated and working as at my as a team, exchanging ideas in improving community health services and I really loved to work with them as their in charge.

Dislikes

My dislike is all about small salary which can not able to sustained my needs and needsvof my family too.
Also poor working environment.

Work

Sincerely speaking, I obtained enough experiences from the work at MOH Kenya, despite some challenges which affected my good plans in improving community health services.
At my level, as rural health centre in charge, innovated some good ideas

The people are good and co operative to all of the foreign staff . We are supposed to work exactly 8 hrs after which we are paid OVERTIME , no matter even if it is in MINUTES even ..(eg 3 mins .) .The salary - compensation is deposited in our bank account exactly on 1st day of the month ,sometimes a day or so earlier even. One should not rely on the salary packages described by the agents --which are almost double than what we get here .

Dislikes

The problem of transportation is every where .Some times common medicines are also not available . Other than Male' ,the capital city and Hulhumale - twin city of Male' , there is NOT MUCH chance to improve one's skill in any aspect of Medicine .

Work

I have been working in Maldives as a consultant in Gynecology from Jan 2014 . I am posted in an Atoll Hospital , where the work is quite satisfactory and the staff is quite friendly.

You get a hard earned salary right on time without any tax deduction. You can save 75% to 50% depending how you maintain your standard. Annual leave with full pay and free air tickets allows your family to have lots of enjoyment.Working standard varies but in good hospitals are of international level

Dislikes

Personally I like it only

As a bachelor I liked but as I m married and having a kid I don't like to work here since nurses don't have family status

Dislikes

Teammates are good, continuous education is uptodate, no job security, no career growth, no salary appraisal, work environment is better, innovation also good, no proper work life balance since there is no family status and no proper education for children as expected. Bachelors can save certain amount of money and better to leave this country.

Whether you work in periphery or in city your tolerance level must be too high. Financially your growth is good but personal growth???. If you live in city education for children is good. After resigning, still I didn't get my mukafa money for 6 months. This money must be settled during your exit. Official works all complicated & stressful. If you want to earn money & save Saudi is the right place.
