It deals with national security. Job satisfaction takes the first place over pay and perks. It teaches you about umpteen number of things and you get exposure in various fields. Further one would be selected for deputation with U.N peace keeping force, SPG, Immigration etc, Such exposures and experiences adds to your confidence level and potential. Rather than power, position and strength of the organisation many a times you are on your own in planning and executing things and producing results by way of finding means and evolving modalities. You are tasked and how to go about it is up to you. From nothing ness you have to build up everything. It demands your patience, perseverance, skills, innovation, analytical prowess and intellectual acumen and most of all the capacity to undergo changes to suit the situation and nature of task which is varying in nature and highly demanding which require a lot of planning and scheming and ruminating over the chances of failure and eliminating the remotest possibilities of failure or controlling it or remedying it or dropping that scheme and adopting another plan. A lot of challenges and ever changing scenarios brings out the best in you. You would enter as a novice and end up as a master of innumerable things. For security reasons I have to restrain from cataloguing things.
The work proffers challenges and one is assigned with different subjects to handle, till the end of ones career so one would be always learning new things.
