NT is an excellent place to start your career. Good work life balance, not too much of pressure. Most people who work here are happy.
Do not expect to grow based on the work you do. Promotions and career growth depend on one thing only. BROWN NOSING your MANAGER. It happens so explicitly that it's disgusting at times. This attitude is encouraged by those at the top. Managers will only recruit those they can control for important positions with little regard for their qualifications, experience and even basic communication in English. I know for a fact this is not prevalent in the entire company since I've colleagues who very much like their Jobs. This is limited to Derivatives.
It is interesting although it gets monotonous after a while
The work culture and job security is the main highlight of NOS. NOS is getting itself into latest technology these days which in turn has helped me to learn new things. When coming to salary it's average not so great neither bad.
Growth rate of employee is low and I think it's time for them to recheck on the salary as it's just average and because of that after few years employee are jumping out of company only for the reason they get paid more than NOS
It depends on the team and teammates. Mine is challenging at a times as it's full of process optimisation and automation.
And sometime I feel bored but as I said depends on Team and teammates
Work environment is good and facilities provided by company to partners are excellent. Northern Trust basically is a good company
The firm is good whereas the team which i work for have different set of mind (Manager) where the compensation and growth are always underrated how much ever we contribute the return of appreciation and rewards are zero and the attriation level in the team is high but they are least bothered of retaining the tenure partners.Relative to training on the process is zero. If the partners have ease to learn then they have to learn by themselves.Their is no value for the individual partners.
