In many cases, being agreeable and overly flattering seems more important than delivering results. Style over substance: Loud personalities who entertain, mimic, talk all day, or constantly try to grab attention are celebrated more than quiet, sincere workers who actually deliver. Watching movies, gossip, or even dancing during work hours is tolerated — even encouraged — if you're part of the inner circle. Mother tongue politics: Revealing your regional identity can work against you. Language bias is real here. If you're not from the dominant group, you may be excluded from key opportunities and decision-making. Nepotism at its peak: Family members, relatives, and close friends are hired frequently. A Warning to Anyone Considering SESI I had the misfortune of working at Safran Engineering Services India, and I strongly advise anyone looking for a healthy, productive work environment to think twice before joining. Here’s why: Toxic Work Culture – Leadership is disconnected, micromanagement is rampant, and employees are treated as disposable. Favoritism and office politics decide your fate, not your skills. Fake Policies & No Professionalism – They have a relieving policy, but guess what? They don’t follow it. They’ll let you go without prior notice when it suits them. But if you try to leave? Good luck. Clueless & Stubborn Management – Managers don’t actually know what they’re doing. They hide behind SOPs, rejecting any logical improvements with, “This is already proven, no need to change.” Innovation? Not here. Exploitative Salary Hike System – Their cycle for increments is in April, but they intentionally hire people between August and October. Why? So they can tell you, “You need one more year to be eligible for a hike.” Management Runs on Politics, Not Performance – If you’re hoping for fair treatment, forget it. The upper management only listens to managers, who have been stuck in this company for over 10 years. No fresh ideas, no accountability—just a cycle of bad decisions.
