Sapient does offer good work-life balance and benefits.
Sapient is lagging in providing career growth, individual skills growth, training and other important growth areas and they are not focussed on it. People here are rarely interested in skills improvement. Especially internal teams are in the state of flux and not aligned with the culture of people growth. The culture of the organization has depleted which once used to be great and because of their culture, Sapient was recognized as a great place to work, not anymore! Leaders/Managers in internal teams are stuck with stone-age practices and do not intend to update themselves with the industry best practices.
I am into resource management in Sapient and it is just boring and mundane due to their outdated practices and process. It just feels like working with the team of data entry people and supervisors are lame excel sheet reviewers.
Work culture, you can do work above & beyond your role, your role is truly flexible. If you enjoy your work this is the place to be.
The kind if tiring & relentless work employees do is noticed, promotions are given.
But after the Publicis deal, & Razorfish merger compensation adjustment (increments) seems not not match the kind of work people are commiting.
Exciting if one is actually interested, your role is what you decide it to be. can work as per your style as long as you are good.
Mostly to do with the project that I am in but work from home is usually allowed without a fuss.
People get treated like slaves by middle and mid-upper management. You are just an animal which would be replaced after you run out of fuel.
Again, depends on the project. In my case, it's outrageously hectic. And most of the time, people feel like they are being treated inhumanely. The general morale is very low. If you are a budding software developer, you'll most likely be underpaid.
Sapient is a very good company, having flexible working hours, vacations, learning new things. But must say their manager and supervisors are not good. Peoples are bitching for their team. There will be 2 different rules for On roll and off roll employees which team supervisor makes.
No Salary increment, Much more politics in teams for others.
If you are at associate/Sr associate level, some managers make life hell for you. Sapient is the worst in terms of work life balance and job satisfaction. Most of my peers have already left sapient. We are make to work for more than 18-20 hours a day and there is no reward and recolonization for hard work.
