Since the undertaking of Publicis, culture in Sapient has changed a lot. It doesn't have an open culture anymore. Moreover Sapient continues to lose old clients and doesn't add new ones either, putting extra pressure on the revenue which makes life of it's employees difficult.

Dislikes

Bench utilization. Staffing partners do not really bother with employee's growth. It's strictly transactional in nature. If there is no need for your skillset, nobody bothers to cross train you neither utilize you in any way. One Ridiculous policy in sapient is employee has to give interviews to get into projects. Most of the times they are more difficult and detailed than the interview of Sapient itself. If you cannot crack project interviews they may ask you to forcefully resign as well. You never feel secure in such an environment.
Instead Sapient can have tougher interviews so it can do away with project evaluations.

Word of advice- If you can make connections within the organization, you will be safe. Even interview is not needed if you are well connected.

Work

I work as SL1. After joining Sapient Nitro twice I have changed my core skills. Right now I'm working as SFCC developer.

After takeover by Publicis, things are getting worse. There is change in top level management and they have disturbed whole echo system. Govt. office culture in higher management is growing up day by day.

Dislikes

Open nepotism is there, they straight away reject your referrals. You will get a call immediately when you finish interview of any candidate from management " This is my guy, take it". Too much micro management. Good opportunities are given to personal favorites only.

Work

it's borring, nothing new.

The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I love the fact that I'm a part of a team that markets reliable, high-quality products and has a global client base. The On-site travel is completely dependent on project and client's location. I also like the employee re-hire policy here.

Dislikes

Compensation is pretty good, but the growth has got slow now. Earlier it was good as well. The Work-Life balance is pretty bad in most projects and the work pressure is very high.

There is nothing that you can really like about except onboarding process and very good joining bonus.

Dislikes

Bullying..senior managers are the scapegoats in the scheme of things. lack of of transparency in resource management and bench management. Many directors use abusive language mercilessly. HR works under these people and you have place to go if you stuck with an issue.

Work

Extremely hectic..
