The medical insurance provided to employees and their family is good.

Dislikes

Pretty much everything about working in Worley Parsons is a compromise with your self-esteem. For starters, there are no career development programs or opportunities for professional growth. Nepotism runs thick as a company culture.Work life balance does not exist.Company management is racist where the color of skin is more important than work skills.Salary is worst among its peers (again color of skin comes into play here) in the location.Job security does not exist, the company hires and fires personnel at will. The only reason I am still with Worley Parsons is that due to the slow down in the Oil and Gas business there is no hiring and that working here is perhaps only slightly better than being unemployed.

Work

Work is hectic. There is not enough data base or software to do the task at hand. The knowledge base of the company is very limited

Team mates are very co-operative an
Tge company practices Transparency, in communication and empowerment of people. As a business manager I enjoyed the job. My colleagues come from different culture and countries and we all worked as one team.

Dislikes

Compensation is not all that great. and dependent on whether you are a western expat or eastern expat. Different (low) salary structures and benefits for eastern expat. For this WorleyParsons alone cannot be blamed. This is the way the Middle East discrimates the expats. Growth is slow and limited.

Work

Work is interesting and my work was challenging as I have to look after business development, project Management and administration. Worked with difficult clients such as Ministries whose expectation of delivery is more disproportionate with the contract.

Job security (contractual), can be a hard and competitive market to negotiate contracts, long work hours makes work-life balance challenging,

I was working inside CONOCOPHILLIPS LatinAmerica in Venezuela by 7 years already. COP is one of the biggest and reputated Oil&Gas company in the world. The team members are excellent qualified to execute any challenge for the Projects under responsibility of COP. In addition we were working in a multicultural environment and Multidisciplinary team. So we were growing up with highest standards of procedures and Management ways to get successfullu results. I love to work inside COP:

Excellent colleagues, great bosses and great teamwork. You get rewarded for good work in terms of job security by way of continued selection in various projects and of course great money on paid overtime only if you are up for it. This has been my experience with WorleyParsons.

Dislikes

Owing to the nature of the project, work for a bit repetitive / monotonous for a while.

Friendly and supportive work environment.
Travel not involved most of the time.
Due to work share, working late hours maybe required.

Dislikes

Type of work depends on the overseas lead offices. As company's policy of non EPC work, nature of the work is restricted to desk engineering.
