Not the “Great Place to Work” It Claims to Be My experience at Zigram was far from what the company projects publicly. Despite the claims of transparency and employee-first culture, internal communication is poor, especially when it comes to discussions with senior management. Conversations around future plans or work expectations are limited, often vague, and lack clarity — leaving employees unsure about their roles and responsibilities. This in turn increases the stress and pressure the employees feel. The HR department offers little to no support, even when multiple concerns and red flags are raised. Employees often find themselves navigating chaotic workflows with minimal guidance. Job stability is another major concern. Employees — are abruptly laid off , often with questionable and vague reasoning. This wasn’t an isolated incident but a pattern that affected several colleagues. To make matters worse, I later learned that multiple companies have reportedly blacklisted Zigram as a past employer. This has created additional challenges for former employees in securing future opportunities, as simply being associated with the company can negatively affect your chances, no matter how qualified you are. While it boasts the accolade of being a 'Great Place to Work', the reality is quite the opposite. Effective communication with senior management & one's direct supervision is severely lacking. Instead of providing adequate guidance, there is an expectation for employees to handle entire tasks without sufficient explanations, assuming an unrealistic level of knowledge. Attempts to tackle assignments independently, using the available understanding, results in reprimands rather than constructive feedback. Seeing clarification from managers yields brief, unhelpful responses after a delay of 2-3 days. However, despite numerous individual reaching to the HR to address this concern, no correction measure were implemented. Disturbingly there has been instances of abrupt layoffs without prior warnings, exacerbating the existing challenges within the workspace....Read More
