The company employs some of the best minds in the industry, people who are not just great to work with, but also to be friends with. The culture that people foster and is supported by the leadership of the firm is absolutely amazing and worth all the effort that its work demands. Other than the people and culture, there is wide support for innovation in the firm, everyone is receptive to new ideas and listens to your point of view without the considerations of hierarchy or experience. It provides ample opportunities of development - both professionally and personally, there are a plethora of activities in the office that keeps one engaged even outside of work and helps keep the enthusiasm high at all points of time. There is no discrimination based on your graduation or post graduation colleges and everyone is provided with equally challenging work and opportunities of development. ZS parties are an amazing place to be at :D

Dislikes

ZS is one of the most demanding firms to exist. There is little pushback to client and going to the extent of working for continuous 40 hours is considered a duty and your karma. Though there is talk about respect for the employee's personal space but in actuality people tend to be way less empathetic when someone puts personal over professional. The appraisal system is tardy and frustrating and encountering a situation where you are rated low but people fail to provide you parameters for development is highly probable. The promotion cycles are vague and from the parameters of self evaluation, "less deserving" can often be found to climb the ladder faster than others.

Overall -The best place to start your career with. The best part about ZS is the leadership skills and project management skills it imbibe in you from the very beginning.

Work Culture/People - The culture and people are so amazing to work with, you can reach out to any one in the office irrespective of his post/position in the company and they will be more than happy to help and guide you. The tight deadlines sometimes become annoying but the awesome people/teammates you work with, make those late hours even more interesting and you make an another family out there.

Travel - This is totally dependent on the client/project you are working on. There are people who have traveled within 8-9 months of their service, whereas there are people who have not got the chance for even 2 years. But they have H1B policy as well for employees.

Compensation/Appraisal - Better compensation compared to its competitors, and appraisal are really good (15-25%).

Dislikes

In some of the project, the work-life balance ( for which ZS is not in the good books) was definitely an annoying thing but as said in the end it depends on your teammates as well, how well that is taken care of.
Moreover, with the increase in workforce, there are some policies which are getting scrapped off, so that is one very important that which was not liked by ZSers, which eventually effected your growth within the company and stagnant work.

Work

Work in ZS varies a lot depending on which track you are part of. Mainly there are three tracks - Business Technology, Business Operations, Business Analytics. Recently, ZS has started venturing into Decision Science/Analytics domain as well.

There is a good job security in ZS. Firing is done very rarely in case someone does not follow ZS values and professionalism. On-site travel and transfer is there but is completely dependent on your project and client's location. Compensation and benefits are better compared to other IT and management consulting firms.

Dislikes

Compensation is good, but career growth is slower than what is used to be 2 years back. There are few exceptions to it, but in general it has become slow with increased employee strength. The work pressure is very high especially at Associate and Associate Consultant levels. Sometimes, people have to work 12-14 hours in a day due to crunched timelines. Office politics has prominent

Work

These ratings are on the basis of personal experience. There are people who are very satisfied with their work & career growth and have been working in the company for quite a number of years.

I felt the business side of the company is much better than the Finance department. The crowd is vibrant and young with excellent skills

Dislikes

The Finance Department is like a mini jail. You can’t speak your mind. It is only in words and not in practice. The Finance leader’s attitude is autocratic and chooses to be amicable only with those that he wants to, which however is his core group that he has created. There are a lot lot more but I am restricting myself. If these were not true or without substance then I would not have been writing taking time out. I loved the company and would have really continued for long had it not been for such an atmosphere within the finance group.

Autonomy of work, culture of equality of everyone's ideas irrespective of designation and emphasis on helping each other.

Dislikes

I have worked there for more than 2 years and quality of hire degrading. Tradition of staying late and managers considering them hard working not knowing how much time they waste whole day forces others who don't waste time to prove that they actually worked even when they leave office on the same day.

Work

I loved the challenging work and the amount of client interaction but my project was poorly managed at many levels resulting in over burden of work very often.

The company is open to innovation and encourages collaboration. A lot depends on the project you have been assigned to. Great ownership is entrusted upon one at quite an early phase, which has its pros and cons.

Dislikes

Non-existent work life balance, the growth is now slowed as the company is expanding. The project timelines are very strict with an average 12-15 hours day.

Work

Work is challenging but many times you get stuck in an internal technology. The business focus of the work is a great learning experience. Not a place if you feel like you can relax at work, not even for a day.

Only The company gives good benefit are good

Dislikes

Your work is judged on the basis of how much your seniors like you.It does not matter how much efforts or hardwork you are doing.Ir is also compared with others although seniors and manager say that we should not compare one with another.
Seniors guidance is 0 towards their junior employees.Management is no way supportive they react and act on managers wordic doed not even bother to ask the employee wht is real issue.
Proper process is not set by the management.
Ur job is totally based on the likes and dislikes of ur seniors towards you.

I like the work culture at ZS. The people here are a great asset to the firm. One gets a whole sense of belonging and feels like family here. Great focus is given to individual growth and skills development. Great opportunity to work with peers on-shore. Full of young and talented people.

Dislikes

I do not dislike anything. One thing which can be better is the work-life balance. There's always a resource crunch, which leads to one person working Day-in, Day-out.
