...under President. Something that made me proud to be a part of the organisation.A few colleagues and timely salary, two days off, being among young minds.

Dislikes

Petty politics,general negative environment, gossip culture, groupism and zero professionalism. HR is only interested in hiring and placing people in this campus but is not interested in the well being of the employees.The maintenance is zero, poorly lit corridors,no funding for anything, zero policies for women's or students safety, gender based bias, harassment & molestation is common from male senior colleagues as no background checks are done before hiring. The HR favours those who put up with everything that is thrown at their way without question so that they do not have to deal with feedbacks from the employees. The HR at head office doesn't not care to resolve any issues with the employees and bootlickers are given preference over the efficient ones. A few incompetent people have been working here for years and are highly insecure and try all kinds of tactics to push out the competent ones from the University.The higher authorities at the Kolkata campus are too occupied in favouring their own people and playing safe to actually think about the wellbeing of the employees or people without bias. Many of the staff members have made a complete mockery of official dress code inspite of reminders from the higher authorities. People do not encourage or cheer for each other here so the whole environment is toxic and backward.The appraisals and increments are irregular and unpredictable, the management seems to have given up on this campus as it is beyond repair. People were a little hopeful with the appointment of the new VC but sadly it's getting from bad to worse as important matters that actually need some resolution remain the same.Coordinators rather than doing their jobs engage in spreading gossip, filth and below the belt discussions. So thinking of working here for a long term is not feasible.

There is no culture as such except petty politics and gossip. No scope for growth and no peace of mind.Poor management and lack of basic facilities like poper lifts, labs etc. The higher authorities are just dummies. There are no proper security for women and no training or upgradation of the staff as to how to behave in a professional environment. The bar is very low and they only talk about values in orientation and meetings but they uphold none.They are only concerned about getting more admissions and projects and fundings etc. VIP culture reigns supreme and important matters are overlooked. They have the most horrendous DJ events, that's what they offer students.HR is of no use at the head office and at Kolkata.

Everything is excellent, working conditions, working culture, salary is good. Amity is the best place for all over growth of a person. I always proud on me that I was the part of this Esteemed University.

Dislikes

Free hand working not there because all events all MOUs has been approved or finalized by Headquarter Noida Increment policies are worsted because they increased salary when they think fit and Brand Amity is suffering because of all this and HR policies inspires people to leave this Esteemed University

They provide salary and appraisal on time. But there are no defined salary structures. Only those close to top management get good salaries. Rest are underpaid.

Dislikes

Worst work culture. No job satisfaction. They do not spend on faculty, students, events or even industrial visits. The placements are also extremely poor. They only earn money but they don’t spend on anything. No skill development initiatives for faculty.

Underpaid as compared to the workload. You have to take 6-7 lectures in a day. To complete the no. of lectures you have to take extra class.Lots of politics.Junior and senior culture.Stressful environment.HR policies are also vague.If you face any problem related to the department and inform HR about the same, no action will be taken.They don't promote research work.To get good appraisal you have to always say YES to your HOI.No job security,you can be fired any day and any time.Those who are thinking of joining AMITY please clarify your doubts before joining.
