The day I found out my colleague earns 30% more for the same role
It was an accidental slip. A teammate mentioned her CTC while we were chatting casually. Same designation, same team, joined after me but her salary was almost 30% more. My stomach dropped. I spent days debating whether to bring it up. I didn’t want to come off as insecure or difficult. But I also couldn’t un-know what I knew. Eventually, I had an honest, data-backed conversation with my manager. Turns out, I was right and they revised my pay. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me this: silence doesn’t protect you. SANMAR - only the brand name. No increment this year till now the management not put the increment. This is 2nd time after covid. In covid time also they stopped the increment for that year. Based on experience they provide the designation not by talent or skill.

Salary - They will provide some 30-40% hike on previous salary. But no one knows the hidden truth in that around 15% will be the SAP. And it will be credited every September only. In September the amount will be credited and the tax will be 30% on that. This can be claimed by next year only. So 20% will be always loss. Another thing is if you resigned before September in any financial year then 2 year SAP will be wasted. Coming to deductions- Food around 1500, Cab - 5300, Tea -200 and accidental cover - 300 , pf 12% on basic , gratuity.

Permanent job, full security, salary on time.

Dislikes

Worst tea, need to pay. Worst food, need to pay. Medical insurance will cover only employee, but not family and that too minimum value to show up. DVI (retention amount is too high and they will pay after 2 years and not mention in CTC) SAP also exist. Above both if you resign they wont give. Commutation bus need to pay.
