Good work-life balance and freedom to use and expand your knowledge.

Dislikes

Average compensation growth and poor bonus is paid even if you peform great. Since now its merged to UBS, all the applications will be decommissioned and hence there is no career growth anymore.

... The additional benefits apart from the salary are amazing, be it cab pick drop from your home, or 40k medical benefits over and above the salary, that includes dental treatment as well which isn’t covered at most places.

Dislikes

The only thing I dislike about CS is that it allowed itself to be acquired by UBS

... Benifits, compensation, work and company culture were always top of the line. The company did suffer financial and reputation loss since Archegos Capital collapse and closure of prime business and other events that kept the company in negative news. All that lead to restructuring and head count cut was on cards. Still they protected the full time employees to the best they can. Although I and few from my team left voluntarily to avoid risks, no one from my immediate team or knows was laid off from Pune. The directors were confident that they will find suitable roles and they actually did align people to relevant opportunities. I spent just 3 years in credit suisse and I got very attached to my work and my team. Even though I still work for another major global financial company with great culture, nothing beats credit suisse’s work culture and people. The HRs made sure that employee rights were never tossed in the air and leadership made sure that people get good work. Most team mates were there for an average of 8-10 years or longer duration. I fee only the relatively new joiners like me left the company. Anyways now that the entire credit suisse leadership is with UBS I hope UBS can match up the standards set by CS, perhaps they may even raise the bar. I hope to join them back some day.

Dislikes

Credit suisse merged to UBS so it makes me skeptical on how much of CS work culture will be retained. Will they care for employees as much as credit suisse did? I don’t know. There was nothing to dislike about credit suisse.

Good Personal policies, organisations pay good attention to employees needs. Travel arrangements, insurance, other benefits.

Dislikes

Work culture is very bad. Growth and promotion is arbitrary. Same applies to remuneration as well. People are insecure and thus very bad working environment. Can't challenge basic rules.

Senior and mid level management is worst and manipulative. Whistle blowers are not treated with respect or not get any safety. When i raised long going quality manipulations then got fired in recent RIF activity.
