EY GDS is a good pay master. Work culture is good but at the end it all depends upon team. Great learning opportunities. Off lately they are into lot of automation. They groom people very well.

Dislikes

When they hire senior managers & above from other teams, they pollute the culture. It's become very hierarchical & bossy. Leaves are not granted, work life balance is non existing. Buttering culture has peeped in. All holidays, including Holi & Diwali are optional. In short, all good things that EY stands for has gone. PS - be careful if you get call from EYC RVS team

The pay is the best you can get for considering the nature of work. They work life balance is certainly better than the EY/Big 4 India firms. They don't have any absurd policies regarding employment.

...re firms. EY GDS does the grunt work that the onshore EY firma don't want to do. The pay is good only because it is the most mind numbing work a professional can do with pressure.

Bonuses ( Variable Pay) : Best in the industry. Fixed Pay Increament : 8-12% Quality of work : 2nd best in the industry. We got good complicated and big clients.

Dislikes

Culture: Worst in the industry. I wanted to back to my ex firm within first week. Work life balance : Not good. They do not encourage planned leaves. Everyone takes planned sick leaves.

The job might not give you new exciting work however it will surely give you a good compensation and work life balance

As it is an organisation with largely people into the same team/department for more than 5-7yrs on an average, they started caring more about the politics rather than quality/competitive outputs.

If you are lucky enough to be part of the right team, you'll have good work life balance and a good team culture where you'll at least not be absolutely terrified of Mondays and drag through your week for the weekend. The leave policy was good while I was working at EYGBS. My team and team culture was devoid of toxic politics and I had the opportunity to decide what I want to do.

...ned in the JD also, the actual job is far from what the initial expectation was. The hiring process is a nightmare, salary is miniscule, almost every function has absolute chernobyl level toxicity, leaders favour their own people. Talent is colluded with head hunters for hiring and you'll get zero results on applying directly to career page. I was a part of an internal support team and had access to data and people from various functions in EY GBS. Apart from the fact that there is absolutely no clarity to ANYONE what they are doing, if you are a yapper you might succeed but in an incompetent space such as EY GBS, your likeability is your biggest asset, since there is no real work that gets done here.
