No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Team Culture, Less People issue and limited office politics. Get to wear Puma merchandise at heavy discounts.

Dislikes

Growth on terms of career and compensation is compromised. Favouritsm and opportunities for select few. They don't have a fixed office space they keep changing office from Indiranagar to Whitefield to Mahadevpura and expect employees to adjust and come to office. Flexibility is just in books and there is always a pressure on coming to office. Some people especially who have been in system for a while they take undue advantage and treat themselves as superior and others as inferior. Very bad IT and Tech support system. They don't properly invest in IT infrastructure including laptops. Please don't go by title, company has more Managers and Senior Managers then the actual working force. However most of these titles are just in name sake.

...handising team are amazing. Some of the people at leadership team are excellent. But, when it comes to realising that there are problems at lower and mid level, they don’t pay attention. Talking about Retail visual merchandising team, the director of retail don’t give a shit to the issues. There are people who are u talented and undeserving but still they are there. I think leadership team must realise that it’s important to differentiate between asset and liability and some people in the team who are there for longer than 7-8 years are just liability and nothing.
