...d to do extra work every time, extend your work hours and get nothing in reward. Just a meager salary and a whole lot of stress. The HR department from Kolkata office behavior is unprofessional and uncaring. They're more interested in protecting the company's interests than supporting employees. The domestic travel policy is a joke. A paltry ₹750 per day for expenses is an insult, and the reimbursement process is orthodox. You won't feel good to go vibe while u will be asked for travel. You spend money from your pocket eventually. Resources are scarce, and employees are expected to make do with subpar tools and equipment. IT policy is such that they provide laptop but no headphone. If u are allotted desktop headphones are alloted .How an employee will take a call without headphones nd creating chaos in workspace? They expect you to bring your own headphones, mouse etc.... like who does that? No perks ar office. Prime focus on utter cost cutting with no attention to employee benefit. Their washroom go out of tissues but Housekeeping comes nd marks the checkboxes in time. Even the Tea at office is charged. They will shut down AC at 6:30 even if you are working after that for the sake of business need. No proper cafeteria or canteen facilities. Overall, I would not recommend to anyone looking for a positive and supportive work environment. If you are coming from proper MNC work culture you will not like TCE work culture for sure . If you are fresher there will be lot of learning scope no doubt. And if you worked with a small company and get in to a brand or u are considering it as you have to return to ur hometown on urgent basis.. or u are at the verge of retirement....u can consider joining. Otherwise if u have MNC working experience experience....u will hardly enjoy here It's a company that seems stuck in the past,..The poor HR behavior, combined with lack of benefits, outdated methods, and scarce resources, makes for a toxic work experience. . You won't feel being a TATA employee working here... It's not like other TATA sons giant companies.Think twice before you join Leadership team should look into these and conduct behavioural training to the top level managers , provide emotional security at office. Should conduct anonymous survey to get the real view/feelings the employees have working here so that drawbacks can be rooted out. Autocratic management style that senior/top level managers follow should get an strict eye. Should be more open to accept new ideas and thoughts. Employee should be given that security to speak freely. Without indulging into self introspection, managers often indulge in fault findings in other team, to let them down...!! Is this a correct professionalism? Even it's tolerable at a limit, spreads a wrong massage to the juniors... Managers are technically sound but for managerial skills and abilities they should be trained first and evaluted. Many good resources left because of poor management style at this office. This review is based on personal view, the local management at Kolkata, and how I felt and treated in my team. Individual experience may vary as per team or with other manager and with different locations. But the generic overview or things related to company policy remains the same

Not good for TCE consultant ..best for permits employees, Guest is very good if there are permanent employee.. other wise no good services for consultant

Not good consultant employee..no hike or appraisal even if you are 4yrs old employee, treat like external employee, senior consultant have to report traine...

Provided salary benefits during COVID time for new joiners, GET/PGET training (site and office) was quite a good in Jamshedpur. Flexible leaves, Good work life balance, Office transfer is easy

Package was not enough for newbies in cities like Bangalore/Mumbai. Top management was not easily approachable.

All subject matter experts are very knowledgeable and some seniors are quite helpful.

Dislikes

...site visit outside India. Safety is the main reason they give reasons like this. Salary growth is much less for senior engineer positions. They pay more to the lateral entry engineers.

1. Expects employees to stretch but does not provide over time. 2. Saturday compensation is less than the per day salary. 3. Appraisals are not great unless attrition is there. 4. You have to pay for tea or coffee. 5. Cannot take stand as a consultant. 6. Deliverables suffer because of tight project schedule.
