Normality is a measure of concentration used in chemical analysis.

Normality is calculated by dividing the number of equivalents of solute by the volume of solution in liters.
It is expressed in equivalents per liter (eq/L) or moles per liter (mol/L).
For example, a 1 M solution of HCl is also a 1 N solution because HCl is a monoprotic acid and has one equivalent of acid per mole of HCl.
However, a 1 M solution of H2SO4 is a 2 N solution because H2SO4 is a diprotic acid and has two equivalents of acid per mole of H2SO4.
