If the site quantity differs from the drawing quantity, I will take the following steps to address the issue.

I will review the drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy.
I will communicate with the project team, including the architect and engineer, to clarify any discrepancies.
I will conduct a site visit to physically verify the quantities and compare them with the drawings.
If there are significant differences, I will document them and notify the relevant parties, such as the client and contractor.
I will work with the project team to find a solution, which may involve revising the drawings, adjusting the quantities, or seeking additional materials.
I will update the cost estimates and budgets accordingly to reflect the revised quantities.

I will Compare the Completed and Original BOQ Quantity with the Engineer's Specifications and Drawing. if the construction team implements the construction as per the Engineers instruction and by the Engineers approved Drawing then I will prepare a Variation for additional quantity as per condition of the Contract and I will Submit a Variation Notice to the Engineer or Client with our Head of the Officers.

Payment will be made as per actual drawing measurements. Reasons for extra quantity will be find out & if found genuine it will paid as per norms

In general it’s based on the contract conditions especially the order of precedence to be followed in case of dispute. However in most of the cases least of the two qty. will be certified and if there is more deviation viz. lesser qty. executed at site than the drawing qty. penalty may also be levied.

Find the root cause for that deviation and then get the solution for that. For example - Quantity deviated due to the wastage greater then allowable limit, rectify it from deduct the cost from concern supervisor, piece worker (or) contractor (or) labour.
