Hey everyone,

I'm at a crossroads with two offers:

Kaiser Permanente (GHSE Pune) is offering 21.5 LPA (with 5% variable) + 1.2L joining bonus.
T Systems India is offering a flat 20 LPA.

My take-home would be almost the same with both. 

What would be the smarter move for long-term growth, work-life balance, learning, and overall compensation? Help me decide!

I was working on a PPT and grabbing some links from old Teams chats…

And suddenly I noticed my colleague was online and presenting at around 2 PM. I was like okay cool, normal. Then I saw my office bestie was also online and in some meeting. Her status was also "In a call" at the same time. 

Now I didn’t think much of it the first time… but for 4-5 days straight, same thing. SAME time. SAME online status. 

I obviously acted all casual and chatted with both of them separately (don’t judge me 😭), and from our convos… I know there’s something brewing. I haven’t asked directly, but I’m like 99% sure they’re talking to each other daily on Teams and telling their families it’s “some office project.” 💀

Daily Office Life

I’m always told to be friendlier. But I’m not rude, I just like keeping work and personal life separate. I stay polite, finish my tasks, and log off. I don’t overshare anymore, especially after seeing how much gossip happens. And yes, I’ve raised concerns when people disturb me daily, not to get anyone fired, just to draw some boundaries.
 
But somehow, I become the problem. Meanwhile, the loudest men in office openly mock juniors in meetings. People quit because of them, but the bosses laugh and call it “banter.” If I raise my voice once, I’m told to calm down. If I don’t smile, I look angry. Why are there rules only for some of us?
 
Once, I asked a coworker to finish what he started and next thing I know, we’re discussing my “tone” in a meeting. I was told to copy a woman who fakes sweetness to fit in. No, thanks. I’m not here to play pretend. I’m here to work and I’m tired of being told that’s not enough.

I’m 22, have ₹1.5L saved. Planning to buy a bike worth ₹2–2.5L.
I already have a scooty but it’s not mine. It’s my dad’s.

And he keeps saying ki scooty wapas le jaunga. Nahi maani toh job bhi chhodwa dunga.

I travel 40–50 km daily for work. And I can ride a bike. I have no dependents, no major expenses, 6 months’ emergency fund and I invest monthly too.

Still… my parents want me to save this money for my wedding.

But for me, it’s not just a bike. It’s freedom. It’s mine. Something I earned, not borrowed.
