Overload work , Variable pay which is part of CTC is 10% and deduct 5% when company and candidate performance is low. More task within less time period. Less budget to software department.No agile, work assignment not discussed with developer.

No work life balance, micromanagement, inefficient managers at top level who always try to hide their inefficiency by shifting the blame to their team members. People are asked to work post office hours and even on weekend. Complicated tools and system and too much of manual work. Since the company is running into losses so they arelaying off people by putting them into PIP or by shifting them into a department which is nowhere linked to their education and can derail one's career. No job security. Hike is around 5%<mark style="background-color: #fff5e4;">. Variable pay on an average is 60%</mark>. Too much internal politics and favoritism. Managers here have a good work life balance. They will log off at 5pm, are allowed to take maximum wfh but team members are asked to sit till late in office and come daily. In this role I had very good work life balance and got lot of learnings. I was never worried about getting lynched from company as Railways is a very stable business.

Dislikes

The salary's were never on par with industry. Tendency is to not to promote and there is no long term vision. And the promotions are never based on the skill/merit but based on who cries loud.

No new technologies or tools implemented same old process which was used 10 years ago and all manual work.Too much politics and stress from managers .work culture is not good and you have to answer phone calls even at Night if not will be targeted.

Good if you are looking for no fire kind of job where you get salary on time

1. People looking for genuine growth with managers support and guidance don't join here. Managers attitude is "you will be okay until you work according to them else Don't know you at all they will put you under the bus anytime". 2. Performance Review is namesake to show your failure only HR is let down, employee themself do more HR job than HR themself... Complete failure I would say plus should bare with their cold attitude. 3. Even if you are not assigned work neither Manager nor HR is bothered only they will react if you yourself flag but the response would be you are incapable of doing your job and will be transferred to role which is neither matching your profile nor they will discuss with you. 4. Most important if you don't have choice other than joining company always ask for job description in written even get it signed by reporting manager as role what you get is entirely different than your experience ex in case you go to HR on role explanation reply will be "you should even be ready to take printout for your manager" 5. Let down for women employee as they will be sidelined for growth by commenting "You will not be available after working hours" or Will give work exactly at 6 PM or will ask to stay beyond working hours to give some update. If you resist be ready for constant comment in every team meetings by making them feel guilty for giving priority for personal commitment after working hours. Worst is giving comment on taking WFH when kid was sick that too during performance review and will be giving low score even you have worked outside your KPI....Read More
