Slow growth at Accenture
I started my career as a structural engineer at L&T and then climbed up to lead projects and procurement operations at GE until 8 years. Saturation and slow growth hit me and I decided to do a full time MBA. I got a role as an analytics associate manager in Accenture and worked in a couple of interesting tech projects. It's been 3 years now at Accenture and the company ran out of interesting work giving me BPO sort of activities to do which I hate the most. Not to forget salaries have not gone up much as well. Now I have close to 12 years experience and am not getting calls for interviews. Please advise as I want to work in product companies.

Work life balance and decent pay
I have been working as a QA for the past 6.5 years at the same MNC. Have not tried job switching. My biggest concern over this period is about my work life balance, after my maternity leave I found it very difficult to manage work and family life. Over this period I have heard suggestions of switching to a role in product management. Please let me know if working as a product manager can help reduce stress and give work life balance. Please let me know how I can start preparing for this role, I don't have any idea. Any particular certifications or courses will help?
Currently I am working as a test manager in a project specific role and have got the opportunity to work with a huge number of stakeholders.

Career suggestion
Currently I'm working as a web merchandising developer. But the role no more excites me as I feel it's very monotonous. My interest is in product roles and I'm an MCA graduate. Could you please help me how to crack a role in my interest. I've been experienced for 3 years. Will I be considered as fresher in product role or does my experience has any value?
Thanks!

Freelancing - Should it be a secret for the employer ?
I have recently landed a couple of offshore freelance jobs as a PM. These remote offeres were way too interesting and high paying to let them go. So, I took them.
Do I let my employer know about this ?
Would this be considered moonlighting?
If I need to hide this from my employer, what are the things that I need to be careful of ?

What should I do?
I've been working as an Associate Product and Business Development Manager for 2 months now. Before that I was an intern in the same organisation However, I've come to realize that my role isn't entirely aligned with traditional product management responsibilities.
Most of my tasks involve research and testing, with minimal involvement in product development or strategy. Despite the product launch approaching soon, I haven't had the opportunity to create a single Product Requirements Document (PRD).
I'm torn between pursuing a certification to enhance my skills and waiting for a more substantial role. Has anyone faced a similar situation? What advice would you give?
Should I:
Invest in a certification to demonstrate my commitment to product management and enhance my skills?
Wait for a more substantial role or a clearer product management path within my current company?

How to move faster up the ladder and can I ask/get a 100% hike in my next job? I am actively applying.
Hello, I moved from mech engg design department to sales and marketing, completed an MBA on the way, from a reputed college and finally transitioned into Prod mgmt. All within about 13 years of experience now. All throughout I suffered by not being compensated as per industry because of various reasons. Its been 1 year in prod mgmt and I am pretty good at my work compared to other seasoned prod managers in our org, globally. How can i upskill? Are there any specialisations (courses) for digital products/software prod mgmt? Please advise. Can I also ask for a 100% raise in my next role, given my limited current experience in prod mgmt? I am grossly underpaid as per any industry standard. I make up for pure prod mgmt experience with a solid yet versatile engineering (mech and industrial automation) and a global sales and marketing (again, industrial automation) experience and plenty of superior soft skills. How do I improve/rectify my compensation situation?

Need Help!
I’m reaching out to ask if you’d be willing to refer me for a product management position at your company or within your network. I have 1.5 years of experience as an Associate Product Manager, where I’ve gained relevant skills in product development. Currently, I’m facing some challenges at my current company, which has led me to explore new opportunities for growth. I would greatly appreciate any support or recommendations you can offer. Also, let me know if there are any better ways to search for related job roles. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Hey everyone,
I could really use some advice! I've received internship offers from both Zepto and Niyo for product management intern, and I’m finding it tough to choose between them since both have their own advantages and challenges. Here’s a quick comparison:
Zepto:
Offers a competitive stipend for the internship and a high ctc IF converted to full-time.
There's a 40-50%(assumption) chance of conversion to full-time, though the job security isn’t the best.
The work culture is intense, with a strong emphasis on output and independence – they expect you to handle tasks with minimal guidance.
Niyo:
Provides a slightly lower internship stipend and CTC for full-time roles.
While I don’t have exact stats on conversion but (80-90%), Niyo has a reputation for a supportive environment with more focus on teaching and mentoring.
The work culture is more relaxed, with managers who guide and prioritize learning and development.
PS. I am a 4th year B.tech student

Transitioning from Design to Product Management—Seeking Advice and Guidance
Hi everyone,
I’ve worked as an architect for 2 years, then a year as a furniture designer, and now as a product designer developing new products. Lately, I’ve been considering a career shift into product management and would appreciate advice on making this transition.
Specifically:
1. What skills are essential for moving from design to product management? What gaps should I focus on given my lack of experience with engineers, coding, and IT?
2. What’s the best approach to transition—should I focus on hands-on learning, shadowing PMs, or something else?
3. Any recommended courses, certifications, or resources (books, webinars) for someone with a design background to build a solid foundation in product management?
4. What strong advice would you give to someone aiming to excel in this role with a design-focused background?
Thanks for your insights!

What next !!
Hey, I need some suggestions.
Total work experience. 7.5 yr
About myself: I completed my Mechanical Engineering and the worked for ~ 6 yrs with an automotive organization. Then I did my MBA and joined an IT consulting firm, and right now I'm working as a Product Manager (involves GenAi) since last 1.5 yrs.
I am in a dilemma right now, whether I should continue the product management field or should I go back to manufacturing/ automotive industry.
I like the role that I play as a product manager but since I don't have a CS/IT background I sometimes find it difficult to understand things.
Pls share your suggestions.
Thank You. :)

Need guidance from an experienced PM
I have over 2 years experience in sales with over 16Lac ctc due to incentives. Now, I’m planning to transition to APM role, and recently one company decided to hire me, it’s a medium size company with 300 employees and already established product team since years and they offered to pay only 9lacs CTC, I just started applying and I don’t understand how this industry works as few people told me to take the job because transition requires pay cut but in long run I get have growth. I know that APMs get paid around 14lacs atleast. Can anyone advise me on this ?
