They make fun of me for repeating outfits at work🥹

There are 5 of us girls on the team. The other 4 show up every day in something new perfect hair, new shoes, designer bags. I wear clean, repeated clothes. Not because I want to, but because I can't afford new ones right now. Lately, I’ve seen the side glances, heard the whispers ""are dekh bar bar Zudio ke saste se top pehen ati h, aj fir wahi pehna jo monday pehna tha😢😢 felt the giggles behind my back. 😔 Just wondering: Is repeating clothes such a crime in a corporate office? Why does it feel like I’m being judged 😢😔

You're there to work, not walk a runway. Repeating clothes isn’t a crime—just keep them clean and comfortable. Confidence matters more than outfits. Even if you wear something new every day, people who want to gossip still will. So relax and do you. 😊

I can understand how humiliating it can get. Their are many people who feel peace by hurting someone's feelings. But have guts and try to confront them.. even when you hear the whispers. Try to be sarcastic and not rude as it is a professional place. You are leading your own life. Don't get under confident by just a few brats who has nothing else to take care of with their salary! Be proud of whatever you do. Wish you luck!

@pacifier I wish it were that easy to just get in, get paid, and get out. But the truth is, when you're laughed at or judged every day, it gets under your skin. I try to focus on my work, but those comments, those looks… they stay with me even after I leave the office. I’m doing my best, but I genuinely can’t afford a new wardrobe right now. And it's not like I’m showing up in dirty or shabby clothes they’re clean and presentable, just repeated. Do you think it’s fair that how I look is being used to measure my worth at work? Would love to hear your honest take.☹️

Are you washing them in between? Some pairs of pants I will wear a few times without washing in between, depending on what they have been through. But shirts usually require a wash.

Don't care dude, it's a topical girly things. Paise aate hi showbaazi suru kare dena tum bhi 😊 Just avoid them (talk only for work related) they're not your friends

I'm the same way. It's not weird at all as long as your hygienic. I buy multiples of my favorite clothes. I prefer a "uniform". No one makes me dress in slightly different variations of my clothes (same brands but different colors), but it feels best for me.

[faithfuldhokla](username) yeah, absolutley! As long as they’re clean, I don’t see an issue. I also have sensory sensitivities, so when I find something comfortable, I tend to buy every variation I can find of it. My wardrobe is seriously lacking in variety but at least my skin isn’t crawling

Well, the thoughts in my mind right now are too controversial to speak... I should keep quiet for the moment... On one end I think who even wears every same cloth for straight up all days... And on another, nah it's bad to judge....

My mom also says the same thing sorta wrt. relatives . My colleague are kind , & mostly m , so we don't care about trvial things like repeating outfits . It's not a corporate thing , I think it's more of a either cultural or insecure upbringing thing . But end of day , why would let someone's opinion of you , ruin your peace & time ? There is peace in living a simple life , & don't let thier opinions take your headspace . I mostly wear repeating sets of clothes to work & also family functions . Less mental block to the colors & stuff . Personally, I don't care about these gossips or such folks . I have a life , hobbies & can't afford the time to behave like them or rent my head to them . I just prefer to live in quite luxury (better & curated food, a healhy neighbouhood etc), than show off for buzz or to get on someone's good side . I avoid people who base thier personality around material possessions, like a plaque & keep a distance .
