I actually dislike the appraisal system called the Performance Management Process (PMP) It basically focuses on the "Peer Ranking" Advantage which is obviously based on how you can network socially with your Supervisor. The most fractured part of it is term "turn by turn" which means if you were promoted this year, you are not likely to be promoted the next year based on the yearly budget for the unit.
