The team which I was a part of was very helpful, friendly and jovial. Their is no hierarchy based system. We were allowed to go and talk with the managers and team members of different teams which were in the organization and know what they are working on and how they do it. It gave us the freedom to explore different opportunities as a fresher. There was no such rule as you have to stay in office for 9 hours a day for certain teams which gave us the freedom to come and leave early on most of the days.

Dislikes

Initially the salary was less. The guys who continued to work for a 2nd year got a good hike as 3-4 of them left at the end of the first year. The growth is also a bit slow. The work was a bit monotonous. Main problem is that the office is located quite far from the center of the city and there was no cab services provided for employees in regular shift which made traveling difficult. It used to take up 4 hrs of my time every day since I was located about 20 kms from the office.

Work

Initially it was exciting but later on we didn't get any different type of work so it got a bit boring.

Likes

Teammate's are very good in their respective domains.
Managers never make you feel left alone.
Managers groom you in a particular technology even if you are a novice.
Team members always come to your aid when your stuck on a issue.
During major incidents you can always be assured your entire team stands by you.
Managers take all the client pressure allowing you time to work on the resolution of the issue.

Dislikes

Sometimes the management might fall before the tough expectations of the clients which becomes difficult to meet but your immediate team folks help you out to close things without displeasing the clients.

Work

There is a lot of variety in your work and the quantity of work is also a good amount but you will never feel the pressure.

Only the teammates in my region are supportive.

Dislikes

Working with DD currently as Client Support Engineer, the main points I would like to discuss are HR policies and Appraisal given by Company at ground level is really really poor. All the works are done by ground level engineers and credits are given to the Managers and higher level people. The Job satisfaction is not upto the designation level. Talking about career growth, leaves are not granted as per the requirements for higher level certification by which your growth cannot meet your desires.Really really need to improve them.

Work

Working at Client side, limits the growth in the knowledge and technologies, which is bad for career growth.

Job security and management support till good extent, leave benefits are good.

Dislikes

1. HR team is very poor where employees have to work around in making up to them for any required support.
2. Internal promotions are stagnant.
3. Canteen is not upto level.
4. Third party medical insurance is very bad (Not upto requirement)

Work

Not so exciting as the work initially went challenging and later totally got into a team with more R&D and ticketing tools

The company is a big platform to career growth in the field of networking. It works on many new technologies & it serves for large number of reputed clients. Salary/appraisal are good & teamwork , work environment also good.

Dislikes

Promotions & salary increment is low for a long-term & low-level employee.

Work on client site & responsible for any kind of network support (b/w client branches across country).

Dimension data provides very good platform for network beginners. My knowledge has increased to the level which could not be possible in any other organisation.

Dislikes

Improper working time is the only thing i dont like in dimension data.

Work

My job role is to take care of incident occured on client site and to resolve them.also implementation of new network infra, network device configuration, trouble-shooting etc.

Likes

The work culture and environment is very good and one of the best technical company to work with. There are great learning opportunities and one can become super techie from here. The appraisal happens in very smooth way and salary hike is also very good.

Dislikes

Though work life is very good but sometimes we have to face management politics.

Growth opportunities are very low. Learning on day to day is minimal or non existant

Job becomes boring after doing it regularly as there is nothing much new to learn. But the company is good and job security is there. Opportunities are very less.

Claims not received timely mail few times but no response.when I told that unable to visit pm(BOI,HDFC,SBI,Indus Ind )due to my pending claims,but senior created pressure & told leave the job. Need technical training

Sorry to say this.
since salary will be low,and working culture is not good we even have work on weekends(Saturaday & Sunday also) .Especially management of Manged Services (MS Team) is very bad.Earlier it was fine still 2014.
after every thing in goes on terrible situation .
