Upon joining Star Cement in February 2020, I was enthusiastic and eager to learn, especially as I transitioned from a different industry into the manufacturing sector. The first twoyears were fulfilling as I immersed myself in learning and contributing to the organization. However, over the span of 4.9 years, certain experiences have been deeply disappointing. Despite being the most qualified individual (MBA) in the S&D department at the Lumshnong Plant, with over 65 employees, my contributions and efforts were neither acknowledged nor rewarded. I joined as a Junior Officer (M7) and, unfortunately, resigned in the same position without any career advancement. This stagnation is contrary to the assurance provided by the former HR, Mr. Sashikant Dubey, at the time of my joining, who had mentioned a potential promotion within three years. Further, I observed a lack of meritocracy in appraisals and promotions. Annual increments and advancements often seemed to favor individuals with personal ties to the department manager, regardless of their qualifications or contributions<mark style="background-color: #fff5e4;">. I consistently received an "Exceeded Expectations" remark in appraisals, yet these ratings did not translate into monetary or professional growth</mark>. Adding to the frustration, I was regularly tasked with completing appraisal forms for over 65 employees—an administrative burden that was neither recognized nor rewarded. The company itself is a booming among cement companies in Manipur, it almost dominate the whole market in volume. JOB SECURITY_ since i joined as a fresher in 2018 march in off roll basis , i dont have complete trust in job security but 100% works for pay roll employees. WORK CULTURE_ is good and strong. sometimes have to travel through different districts. Sometimes headache due to over demand and insufficient supply for short period. MANAGEMENT_ just awesome no doubt on it. POLICIES_ changes has to take place so do they. sometimes hard to convince to parties about discounts and bonus but that doesn't really affects the monthly targets. SALARIES_ is just fairly good if you start as a fresher comparing to those other companies and past 10 yrs freshers experience. For pay roll salaries , you'll have no regrets....Read More

for off roll, there is no chance getting permanent into the company as per my experience of 3yrs. career growth is not possible for off roll. no incentices for off roll nor appraisal. travel allowance is poor for us comparing to those of pay roll. pay roll and off roll has a wide gapin every aspects. the rest is ok....Read More
