Work permit and visual inspections to area  caution tape and signed board.and like this needed as a site condition.
Then carryout the preventive maintenance (PM). Bus duct cleaning and iR, 
Test insulation resistance .all checked tightness and setting OTI WTI.

We plan 52 week  PM schedule for all our assets and in which we include Transformer maintenance plan activity. On daily basis we monitor all parameters of the TR and monthly basis general cleaning of TR, of Oil type TR then take OTI, WTI settings and check panel end controlling chamber cleaning,  ground earthing check.    In once in a year plan annual PM in which plan AC and DC tests which include-IR test, PI test, CRM test,Winding resistance test of transformer, Transformation ratio test

Measurement of core losses and no-load current through open-circuit test

Measurement of short circuit impedance and copper losses through short-circuit test
