Adeptia - Senior Cloud Network Engineer - Software & Infrastructure Delivery (4-6 yrs)

Job Responsibilities :

- Understand Managed Services customer solutions, architecture, requirements from a business & technical context.

- Deploying and managing Adeptia proprietary application in customer on-prem/Adeptia managed public cloud in Azure.

- Work on designing, deploying and troubleshooting Cloud native network solutions such as VNet, Subnet, VPN.

- Work on setting up connectivity between Adeptia SaaS products (on Azure) to customer on-prem / Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP etc.) resources.

- Work and manage Web Application Firewall such as Barracuda.

- Work with DevOps team to build multi-region highly available systems, make DR, ensure Security like EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response).

- Monitor the performance of the Adeptia application and solution for computing, storage, database performance and network resource utilization and performance degradation.

- Work with a team in configuration changes based on industry best practices to the growing solution and system needs.

- Perform regularly scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system and application performance

- Follow Agile methodology such as Scrum, Kanban for faster and continuous delivery.

- Work closely with the Development/Implementation team to review requirements and Design docs and discuss Testing Scope for enhancements, fixes from network perspective.

Desired Skills :

- Good understanding of Routing, Switching, Network protocols, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Firewalls, NGFW, NAT, IPS, Anti-malware, Botnet, Application Control, DDoS, Web Filtering, DPI, EDR, SASE.

- Experience with network security concepts and technologies, including Firewalls, NGFW (Next-Generation Firewalls), NAT, IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems), Anti-malware, Botnet detection, Application Control, DDoS protection, Web Filtering, and DPI (Deep Packet Inspection).

- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure services, including Virtual Network, Azure DNS, Load Balancer, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Azure Blob Storage, Azure Functions, Virtual Machines, and Fabric Controller.

- Experience in deploying and managing scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions on Azure.

- Proficiency in using networking tools and commands for troubleshooting network issues, including tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and traceroute.

- Experience in the implementation and management of firewalls, with a focus on solutions like Barracuda, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks, and Azure Firewall.

- Ability to configure firewall rules, policies, and VPN connections to ensure robust network security.

- Experience with Kubernetes components, including Pods, Replica Sets, Deployments (Rolling updates, scaling), Services, Networking, Helm, Helm Charts, Stateful Sets, Persistent Volumes, K8s Scheduler, Node Affinity, Metric Server, and ConfigMaps.

- Familiarity with cloud-based disaster recovery and HA system development

- Experience in administering Linux and Windows Server environments, including system configuration, patch management, and performance tuning.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation of administrative tasks.

- Proficiency with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools like Splunk, New Relic, and SolarWinds.

- Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like Zendesk and JIRA for tracking incidents, changes, and service requests.

- Knowledge of SOC compliance requirements and experience in ensuring systems and processes adhere to security and regulatory standards.

- Can effectively communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.

- Proficient in managing Active Directory (AD) services, including user and group management, Group Policy Objects (GPO), domain controllers, and AD replication.

- Expertise in installing, configuring, and managing Windows Server environments, including roles such as DHCP, DNS, IIS, and Hyper-V.

- Understanding of file systems (ext4, XFS, ZFS), LVM (Logical Volume Manager), NFS, and Samba for managing storage and file sharing.

Basic Qualifications :

- B. Tech or BCA or equivalent.

- A professional with 4+ years of experience in various roles as Cloud Network Engineer / Network Engineer with top-notch experience in Routing, Switching, Network protocols, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Firewalls, NGFW, NAT, IPS, Anti-malware, Botnet, Application Control, DDoS, Web Filtering, DPI, EDR, SASE.

- 2+ Years of Expert understanding and hands-on experience of Cloud Networking, particularly Virtual Network, Azure DNS, Load Balancer, VPN Gateway, Express Route, AKS, Azure Blob storage, Azure Functions, Virtual machines, Fabric controller.

- CCNA certified and / or AZ 700 certified (Microsoft Certified : Azure Network Engineer Associate)

- Linux / Windows Administration.

- A clear understanding of Agile, Scrum Methodologies.
