Designer - Bridge

  

 Roles and responsibilities  

Create precise structural Revit models and CAD drawings for technically challenging projects.

Develop plans, sections, elevations and details from Revit 3D model.

Take ownership of modeling, drawings and documentation.

Understand and implement industry wide BIM standards.

Develop details and drawings from conceptual ideas and engineers sketches.

Review model and drawings to ensure compliance with design.

Highlight potential problems in time and look for a solution.

Interact with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM models and drawings.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of models and drawings prepared.

Support the development of project documentation and drawing production.

Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.

Update and maintain project notes and documentation.

Ensure QA/QC documents are maintained properly.

Works under general supervision.

Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.

Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.).

 Qualifications 

Diploma (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college, institute or university.

2 to 6 years proven experience in Revit modeling.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels.

Proficient in written and verbal communication in English language and good command of technical English terminology.

Experience in preparing 3D models of Bridges in Revit.

Familiarity with AutoCAD and Navisworks.

Must be experienced in ProjectWise, BIM 360/ACC.

Basic understanding of construction and engineering principles.

Must be self-motivated and able toworkindependently with minimum supervision.

Must be willing to support the team in which they work.

Must be proactive and should maintain professionalism.

Accuracy attention to detail and correctness of drawings.

Committed to delivering excellent levels of service.

Knowledge Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Ability and flexibility to learn and develop technical/software skills.

A flexible, positive approach and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy, creative atmosphere.
