Machine Learning Lead

As part of an ambitious India-wide program, you will help create unique, high-quality open-source speech and text datasets spanning every district to accelerate the state-of-the-art in speech and language technology. The program also aims at building applications based on these technological developments to pioneer Indic language inclusion in the country.
You will be part of the quality program, working closely with leading NLP researchers at IISc and the leadership of ARTPARK, in addition to NLP researchers at the world s top tech companies.

1. Developing strategies for ensuring data quality at scale
2. Plan for application-specific model development
3. Deliberation of technical work across team members for smooth execution
4. Prioritization across different workstreams to achieve business objectives
5. Design and develop ETL pipelines. Set up and maintain feature stores, databases, and data catalogues.
4. Execution
1. Data preparation: building scripts for the preprocessing of a large amount of data.
2. Training models: Model building with different ASR toolkits such as Kaldi, ESPnet, SpeechBrain etc
3. Research: Implementing and experimenting for research on ASR/Signal Representation and assessment.
4. MLOps: Deployment of trained ASR models

Requirements

Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of ML/AI concepts, and expert-level knowledge of how those concepts can be applied.

Qualification/requirements:

• (Essential) Experience with research/ development in speech and language technologies

• (Essential) Experience with the development and deployment of speech and language models/products

• (Essential) Familiar with basics of speech processing/modelling, Natural language processing/modelling

• (Essential) Post graduation in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related degrees. PhD preferred.

• (Essential) Bachelor s in Computer science/ Electrical engineering or related degrees

• (Essential) Experience with deep learning previously with PyTorch/TensorFlow

• (Essential) Proficient in Matlab and/or Python and/or Bash scripting
