A "Senior Consultant Automation Engineer" is a highly experienced professional who designs, develops, and implements automated systems across various business processes, leveraging their deep technical expertise to consult with clients, identify automation opportunities, and lead the implementation of complex automation solutions, often including a focus on strategy, architecture design, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Needs Analysis:

Conduct thorough assessments of client operations to identify areas for automation, understand business objectives, and translate them into technical requirements.

Automation Strategy Development:

Design comprehensive automation strategies, including technology selection, architecture design, and roadmap for implementation, considering scalability and future needs.

Technical Implementation:

Develop and maintain automation frameworks using relevant tools like Alteryx, Mulesoft, RPA platforms, scripting languages (Python, Java).

Build and deploy automated workflows, integrating with existing systems and APIs.

Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure automation stability and reliability.

Project Leadership:

Lead automation projects, manage timelines, and ensuring successful delivery within project parameters.

Mentorship and Training:

Provide guidance and support to junior automation engineers, sharing best practices and knowledge transfer.

Client Management:

Collaborate closely with clients, understanding their business needs, managing expectations, and presenting technical solutions clearly.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to optimize automation solutions, monitor performance metrics, and implement improvements to maintain efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

Proficient in multiple automation tools and technologies (e.g., Alteryx, Mulesoft, Automation Anywhere)

Strong programming skills in relevant languages (Python, Java)

Understanding of SFDC, Tableau CRM, APIs, databases, and data integration concepts

Presentation skills using Microsoft PPT & Excel (Excel/VBA)

Business Acumen:

Ability to analyze business processes, identify automation opportunities, and understand the impact of automation on business objectives.

Consulting Skills:

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills to effectively interact with clients at all levels.

Project Management:

Proven experience in managing complex automation projects from initiation to deployment.

Leadership Abilities:

Ability to mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Relevant Experience:

5+ years of direct experience in automation development and implementation

Proven record of successfully delivering automation projects in a consulting environment.

Experience working with diverse business domains and industry verticals.
