DevOps Engineer - AWS/Python (4-6 yrs)

Position : DevOps Engineer.

Location : Hyderabad.

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting research applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining architecture, designing solutions, and enabling technical integration of application components and subsystems.

A key focus of your work will involve scripting in Python (or similar languages) and integrating systems across a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bitbucket/GitHub and Jenkins.

- Write clean, efficient code in Python, Groovy, or similar languages to support infrastructure and application integration.

- Manage and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and EKS.

- Work with a wide range of AWS services including EC2, EBS, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, S3, and EKS.

- Maintain and administer Unix/Linux and Windows servers.

- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus, Alert Manager, and Grafana.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues effectively.

Required Skills & Experience :

4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps with core expertise in :

- AWS Cloud Platform.

- Python or Groovy scripting.

- CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).

- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).

- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, EKS).

- Experience with system monitoring tools and alerting mechanisms.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.

- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as New Relic, PagerDuty, Splunk, or CloudWatch.

- Strong communication and documentation skills.

- Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies independently.
