Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with a proven track record in designing, configuring, and rolling out Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of ServiceNows CMDB data model, discovery tools, integrations, and best practices to ensure accurate, scalable, and sustainable configuration management across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the CMDB within ServiceNow.

- Configure and manage CI classes, attributes, relationships, reconciliation rules, and identification rules.

- Implement and optimize ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and/or third-party integrations to populate the CMDB.

- Work with infrastructure, application, and business teams to gather requirements and define CI types, sources of truth, and CI lifecycle processes.

- Establish and enforce CMDB governance, data quality, and compliance policies.

- Create and maintain Transform Maps, Import Sets, and IntegrationHub flows for CI data ingestion.

- Support audits and compliance initiatives by ensuring CMDB accuracy and traceability.

- Build custom automation for CI updates, cleanups, and alerts using Business Rules, Script Includes, and Scheduled Jobs.

- Assist in dashboard and report creation to monitor CMDB health, coverage, completeness, and compliance.

- Participate in platform upgrades and regression testing of CMDB-related functionality.

- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to platform support and operations teams.

Mandatory Skills :

- 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, with at least 2+ years focused on CMDB implementation.

- Strong knowledge of : CMDB data model, CI classes, relationships o Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) o ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CI integrations

Scripting : Business Rules, Script Includes, GlideRecord, GlideSystem

- Experience with Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, and external CI data ingestion

- Proficient in managing Transform Maps, Data Sources, and Import Sets

- Deep understanding of data normalization, deduplication, and CI lifecycle management

- Exposure to ITSM processes, especially Incident, Change, and Problem management

Preferred Skills :

- CSA (Certified System Administrator) Required

- CAD (Certified Application Developer) Preferred

- CSDM (Common Service Data Model) knowledge and implementation experience

- Experience with Service Graph Connector, CMDB Health Dashboards, or Normalization Data Services (NDS)

- Familiarity with Asset Management, HAM/SAM Pro, or Discovery Patterns

- Hands-on with ATF (Automated Test Framework) for CMDB validation.
