Job Description

Role: Liaisoning Manager/ Assistant General Manager.

Location: Banaglore.

Experience: 6-15yrs.

Role Summary:

The General Manager Liaisoning is a senior leadership role responsible for managing all liaison activities between company and external stakeholders such as government authorities, regulatory bodies, local municipal corporations, and other statutory agencies.

This role involves overseeing a dedicated team to ensure timely approvals, clearances, and compliance with all statutory requirements essential for the smooth execution of real estate projects.

The GM Liaisoning will work closely with the CMD to align liaison strategies with organizational goals, lead team performance, and maintain strong government and community relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management

- Lead, mentor, and manage the liaisoning team to deliver high-impact results, ensuring clear role definition, accountability, and continuous skill enhancement.

- Establish performance goals and KPIs for team members; monitor and review team performance regularly.

- Foster a collaborative and motivated team culture prioritizing efficiency, compliance, and proactive problem-solving.

- Organize training and development initiatives focused on statutory, regulatory, and interpersonal skills essential for effective liaisoning.

Liaisoning & Regulatory Compliance

- Oversee all liaison activities with government departments including urban development authorities, municipal corporations, revenue departments, environmental agencies, and utility providers.

- Coordinate the timely submission of applications, follow-ups, and tracking of approvals to avoid project delays.

- Ensure complete compliance with all statutory requirements, laws, and regulations relevant to real estate development.

- Manage documentation, record-keeping, and system updates related to all liaison activities.

Strategic Collaboration & Reporting

- Work closely with CMD and senior management to develop strategies to streamline statutory processes and mitigate risks associated with delays in approvals.

- Provide insights on regulatory trends and changes impacting project execution and propose timely mitigation strategies.

- Prepare and present periodic reports on liaison status, pending approvals, regulatory risks, and team performance to CMD.

- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key government officials and departments to facilitate smooth approvals and conflict resolution.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Law, Business Administration or related disciplines.

- MBA or Masters degree preferred.

- Minimum 6-15 years of overall experience, with at least 8 years in liaisoning or government relations roles in real estate or construction sectors.

- Proven team leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.

- Deep understanding of local, state, and central statutory/legal requirements applicable to real estate project approvals and clearances.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Previous experience reporting to senior leadership such as CMD or CEO, with strong strategic orientation.
