Program Director - Application Reengineering & Digital Transformation (15-25 yrs)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Program Director to lead a strategic, enterprise-wide, multi-year Application Reengineering Program as part of our organization's broader Digital Transformation and Modernization Strategy.

This role sits within the Digital Initiatives Office and involves rearchitecting monolithic legacy platforms into scalable microservices-based ecosystems, adopting container orchestration platforms, implementing API gateways, and driving business process reengineering for mission-critical capital markets functions.

You will work across technology, operations, and business functions to drive transformative outcomes - optimizing business processes, decommissioning legacy systems, and delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native applications aligned with industry standards and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage the end-to-end modernization of critical applications and supporting infrastructure, including legacy core systems.

- Drive business process reengineering (BPR) initiatives, ensuring alignment between technology solutions and business goals.

- Define and oversee the program governance structure, ensuring transparency, alignment, and risk mitigation across multiple workstreams.

- Collaborate with enterprise architects and solution leads to drive target-state architecture based on cloud, APIs, microservices, and data mesh principles.

- Serve as a change agent, building consensus across stakeholders (technology, operations, compliance, and business leadership).

- Oversee vendor selection, system integrator engagement, and delivery tracking across Agile / Hybrid delivery models.

- Manage program budget, timelines, and key milestones, reporting to executive steering committees and board-level governance.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates, industry standards (e.g., ISO 20022, SWIFT, DLT frameworks), and cybersecurity protocols.

- Manage the ongoing maintenance and enhancements operations of existing applications in scope of the modernization and reengineering programs.
