Apps Associates - Principal Consultant - Data Platform (10-13 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Data Pipeline Design & Development : Lead the design and hands-on development of robust and efficient data pipelines from a variety of source systems, particularly ERP/EBS, into data warehouses or lakehouses using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

- Dimensional Modeling & Data Warehousing : Apply sound knowledge of dimensional modeling principles and data warehousing best practices to design and optimize data structures for analytical reporting.

- Oracle BI Applications Expertise : Drive the implementation and extension of Oracle Business Intelligence Applications, leveraging your comprehensive understanding of the suite.

- Semantic Layer (RPD) Development : Possess hands-on expertise in the semantic modeling / metadata (RPD) layer, meticulously designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining complex RPDs to support business user requirements.

- Analytics & Reporting Development : Develop, customize, maintain, and support complex Analysis, Data Visualizations, and BI Publisher Reports in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), ensuring they meet the specific needs of business users for insightful data consumption.

- SQL Proficiency : Utilize strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, loading, and complex query optimization across various database platforms.

- Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning : Identify and resolve data integration, data quality, and reporting performance issues, ensuring optimal system functionality.

- Technical Advisory : Provide expert technical guidance and recommendations on data warehousing, ETL strategies, and Oracle Analytics capabilities.

- Documentation : Create comprehensive technical documentation for data pipelines, RPD models, reports, and dashboards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- 10 to 13 years of demonstrated experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and business intelligence, with a strong focus on Oracle technologies.

- Mandatory hands-on expertise in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) for developing and supporting analysis, data visualizations, and BI Publisher reports.

- Mandatory hands-on expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for designing and developing data pipelines.

- Sound knowledge of Dimensional Modeling and Data Warehousing concepts.

- Proven experience working with ERP/EBS systems as source systems for data integration projects.

- Expert-level proficiency in SQL.

- Experience in the implementation and extensions of Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA).

- Experience in Informatica Power Center or any other ETL/ELT technologies would be a significant advantage.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

- Proven ability to work effectively as an Individual Contributor, managing tasks, priorities, and delivering high-quality solutions independently.
