Aptean - Business Central Functional Consultant (5-7 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements

- Design, configure, and implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central modules to support functional areas such as Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Distribution

- Translate food and beverage industry workflowsespecially traceability and complianceinto ERP capabilities

- Perform gap-fit analysis and map business needs to standard functionalities

- Support data migration, testing, training, and deployment phases

- Lead workshops and conduct training for business users on ERP processes

- Create and maintain functional documentation, process flows, and configuration guides

- Collaborate with development teams to customize reports and extend functionalities as needed

- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, including food safety, quality control, and audit readiness

Required Technical & Functional Skills :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Business Central

- Strong understanding of business processes across :

1. Finance (GL, AP, AR, Cash Flow, Budgeting)

2. Manufacturing (BOMs, Production Orders, MRP)

3. Inventory & Warehousing

4. Sales and Purchase cycles

- Ability to configure and customize Business Central modules to align with client needs

- Experience in business requirement gathering, solution design, and functional documentation

- Familiarity with traceability, lot tracking, shelf life, and compliance reporting in F&B ERP

- Working knowledge of EDI, data imports, and integration with third-party systems

- Basic understanding of SQL Server, Jet Reports, and Power BI is a plus

Nice to Have (But Not Mandatory) :

- Experience in implementing ERP systems in process manufacturing

- Exposure to food safety and compliance modules (e.g., HACCP, FDA, FSSAI, etc.)

- Familiarity with large-scale distribution or multi-warehouse operations

- Involvement in global or multi-country ERP rollouts
