Oracle Database Administrator (10-15 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related applications.

- Configure and manage Oracle Grid Infrastructure, RAC (Real Application Clusters), and ASM (Automatic Storage Management).

- Perform routine database administration tasks such as backup, restore, and patch management.

- Monitor database performance, implementing performance tuning and optimization strategies.

- Ensure database security best practices are implemented, including user access management and encryption.

- Manage user privileges, roles, and schema access to maintain compliance with internal security policies.

- Conduct security audits and recommend improvements as needed to safeguard sensitive data.

- Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, custom scripts) to track the health of Oracle databases.

- Generate regular reports on database performance, availability, and usage metrics.

Skills Required :

- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA).

- Strong proficiency with Oracle database management systems, including Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), Data Guard, ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and

RMAN (Recovery Manager).

- Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and performance tuning.

- Expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL.

- Experience with backup and recovery techniques (RMAN, Data Pump, etc.).

- Strong knowledge of Oracle security features (e.g., encryption, user management, auditing).
