Job Description:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Establish, develop and manage the strategic and operative procurement departments of our production plant, Krones Machinery India, in Bangalore
- Manage and control purchasing targets and breaking them down to the category level
- Ensure the security of supply and competitiveness (price & quality) by selecting and managing suitable suppliers within the category strategy and support in negotiations
- Implement corporate product strategies at the local entity in Bangalore
- Continuously optimize and automate local purchasing processes
- Ensure system-side data maintenance on site
- Support the supplier network development through appropriate performance monitoring
- Act as escalation level for all supplier-related problems at managerial level
- Leading the Procurement organization supporting all spends (including Raw, Packaging material, External Manufacturing, and Indirect procurement) for Kenvue in a market. The Country Lead will orchestrate the local procurement efforts and business engagement. The role will also provide leadership in the collaboration of the in-market resource with Business Unit (BU) Procurement group, the Share Service Group and Procurement excellence to fulfil in-country business requirements
- Supporting and driving the development of category practices for local market categories, including sourcing strategy definition, deployment, and stakeholder management, to maximize total cost of ownership savings and Procurement's value contribution while achieving compliance with policies, strategies, and processes
- Striving to meet the mutually agreed Procurement targets contributing to the overall budgeting targets
- Represents the Procurement organization to the market leadership and is responsible for identifying business demand requirements and partnering with Category Management teams to deliver annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage
- Be familiar with the longer-term priorities, country strategic imperatives and requirements of the business partners, to define in country procurement priorities that enable the business objectives and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment
- Acts as a point of contact for the business to ensure business requirements are met
- Leads local team to analyze category and define category profile, incl. risk assessment, supply base assessment and SRM strategy
- Benchmarks category practices to identify improvement initiatives
- Builds category specific strategic plan in alignment with the regions / countries and aligns strategic plan to financial budget and global business strategies in alignment with global Category Manager and business stakeholders
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order creation and vendor payment. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Analyze spend data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and sourcing needs. Implement and maintain procurement systems and tools to enhance efficiency and transparency
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and manage vendor relationships
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities and vendor staff. Manage risk in the supply chain by implementing appropriate mitigation strategies
