Ashtech - Project Lead (4-6 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Project Lead to manage and deliver key projects from initiation through to successful deployment. In this role, you will build and lead project teams, manage project scope, schedules, and budgets, and effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. Your strong technical background, coupled with your project management expertise, will be crucial in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Objectives of this role :

- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance by providing clear purpose, direction, and motivation.

- Lead projects through the entire lifecycle, from detailed requirements definition to successful deployment, meticulously identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and comprehensive implementation plans, including proactive risk mitigation strategies.

- Coordinate internal teams (e.g., development, QA, infrastructure) and external resources (e.g., vendors, clients) to ensure that all projects adhere strictly to the defined scope, established schedule, and allocated budget.

- Analyze project status regularly and, when necessary, proactively revise the scope, schedule, or budget in a controlled manner to ensure that critical project requirements can be consistently met.

- Establish and cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with relevant client stakeholders, serving as the primary day-to-day point of contact for all project status updates and change communications.

Responsibilities :

- Establish and diligently maintain robust processes for effectively managing project scope throughout the entire project lifecycle, setting clear quality and performance standards, and proactively assessing and mitigating potential risks.

- Demonstrate a very good understanding of how to meticulously write and thoroughly assess Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with project objectives.

- Develop and nurture strong partnerships with essential third-party resources, including key vendors and relevant researchers, to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal project outcomes.

- Strategically assign and diligently monitor resources to ensure maximum project efficiency and the consistent delivery of high-quality project deliverables.

- Prepare comprehensive reports on project outcomes and/or potential risks for the appropriate management channels and escalate critical issues promptly, as necessary, according to the established project work plan.

Required skills and qualifications :

- Four or more years of progressive project management experience, demonstrating a successful track record of delivering projects and possessing excellent stakeholder management skills.

- Strong and unwavering attention to critical project deadlines and adherence to established budgetary guidelines.

- Proven success in effectively collaborating and working with all levels of management within both internal and client organizations.

- Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.

- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to various audiences.

- Must have a strong technical background in areas relevant to the projects being managed (e.g., software development methodologies, infrastructure concepts, specific technologies).

Preferred skills and qualifications :

- Professional project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2.

- Experience in developing platforms or tools to streamline internal project management processes.

- Experience in coaching and mentoring project team members to strengthen their individual abilities and collective skill sets
