Lead - Security

Role & responsibilities:

A. Security Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and continuously refine a holistic security frameworkcovering access control, perimeter defense, surveillance, and emergency responsefor all facilities.
• Lead and mentor the security teamensuring gender‑sensitive training and awareness so female staff feel confident and protected.

B. Access Control & Surveillance

• Implement robust entry/exit protocols: biometric access, visitor vetting, gate‑pass management.
• Oversee installation and monitoring of CCTV systems, ensuring camera coverage of key areas (plant floors, corridors, common spaces, entry points).

C. Incident Management & Response

• Establish clear SOPs for incident reporting, investigation, and escalationensuring rapid, discreet handling of any safety or harassment concerns.
• Coordinate regular drills (fire, evacuation, lockdown) and debriefs, incorporating lessons learned into improved procedures.

D. Personnel & Vendor Management

• Manage third‑party security agencies: negotiate SLAs, conduct performance audits, and enforce gender‑inclusion standards in hiring (encouraging female guards).
• Supervise in‑house security staff: maintain duty rosters that respect work–life balance and provide appropriate rest periods.

E. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with HR, EHS, and Facilities teams to align on women’s‑safety initiatives (e.g., well‑lit walkways, safe shuttle drop‑points, emergency hotlines).
• Serve as the primary liaison with local law enforcement and neighborhood watch groups to ensure community‑level support.

F. Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure all security operations comply with statutory regulations (fire safety, labour laws) and internal audit standards.
• Maintain accurate logs—incident reports, access records, patrol checklists—and present monthly MIS to leadership highlighting trends, gaps, and improvements.

Work Experience: 8-15 years of relevant experience in security management.

Qualification & Certification Required:

• Graduate in Security Management, Criminology, or related field.
• Ex‑servicemen or retired police/paramilitary officers preferred; additional certification in industrial security or women’s‑safety training is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Technology Platform:

• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of access‑control systems, CCTV, alarm monitoring, and incident‑management software.
• Analytical & Decisive: Strong investigative skills, with data‑driven approach to risk assessments and resource allocation.
• Communication & Empathy: Excellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive security matters discreetly and effectively.
