We are seeking a diligent and experienced Compliance Manager to join our Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
This role is critical for ensuring our operations adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies, minimizing compliance risks across all business lines.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance testing within the BFSI sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough compliance risk assessments across all business functions and develop a risk-oriented activity plan to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively identify compliance risk levels in all business lines and implement effective strategies to mitigate these risks.
- New Product Compliance: Subject all new product launches and business initiatives to rigorous compliance testing to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks from inception.
- Compliance Program Oversight: Oversee and manage the risk-based compliance program, ensuring its effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Adherence: Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes relevant to NBFCs and ensure timely updates to internal policies and procedures.
- Internal Controls: Collaborate with internal teams to establish and strengthen internal controls to prevent compliance breaches.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management and relevant committees, highlighting key risks, mitigation efforts, and compliance status.
- Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees across the organization to foster a culture of compliance.
- Audit Support: Support internal and external audits related to compliance, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Required Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in handling compliance testing within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector at a corporate level.
- Industry Type: Proven experience working with an NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company).
- Qualifications (Advantage): Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) will be a significant advantage.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements applicable to NBFCs in India.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex compliance issues clearly.
- Location: Willingness to work from Chennai, Tamil Nadu
