Senior Staff Nurse

Key Responsibilities: - Staff Nurse - ICU

• Provide direct patient care in ICU, including monitoring vitals, administering medications, and managing ventilators and life-support equipment.
  
• Perform continuous assessment and documentation of patient condition.
  
• Assist doctors during procedures and respond to emergency situations swiftly.
  
• Ensure infection control protocols and ICU hygiene standards are strictly followed.
  
• Communicate effectively with patients families, explaining treatment plans and updates.
  
• Maintain accurate records and update nursing notes in the patient file and EMR.
  
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement programs.
  
• Ensure safe and proper handover during shift changes.
  
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and code of conduct.

Key Responsibilities - WARD

• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and nursing assessments.
  
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing records.
  
• Prepare and assist during patient investigations and procedures.
  
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, care, and discharge instructions.
  
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  
• Ensure proper handover during shift changes.
  
• Coordinate with doctors, housekeeping, pharmacy, and other departments for effective patient care.
  
• Handle emergency situations as per hospital protocol.
  
• Maintain ward cleanliness, inventory, and equipment.
  
• Support and train junior nursing staff and students when required.

Key Responsibilities - ER

• Assess, triage, and monitor patients arriving at the ER.
  
• Provide emergency medical care and nursing support as per physician directions.
  
• Initiate and manage IV lines, administer medications, and assist with emergency procedures.
  
• Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes, and treatment charts.
  
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, or surgeries.
  
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during emergency situations.
  
• Ensure availability and readiness of ER equipment and supplies.
  
• Comply with infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols.
  
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
