Mechanical Design Engineer - Conveyor Systems & SPM

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in design and development of all types of conveyor systems and material handling equipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop standard and specialized conveyor systems
• Perform load calculations and select appropriate belts, materials, and components
• Contribute to custom SPM projects involving mechanical assemblies and automation elements
• Create concept design, detailed 3D models, assembly drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks
• Select suitable materials, mechanical components, tolerances, and machining processes.
  

Required Skills:

• Expertise in SolidWorks (mandatory)
• 2+ years of work experience in design of conveyors.
• Prior work experience in SPM / machine design is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, machining, material selection, and GD&T
• Experience in conceptual design, detailed design, machining design, and BOM preparation
• Ability to speak Tamil fluently or at least conversationally (required for shopfloor coordination)
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in machine design
