Job Description
- Develop and implement project plans for agroforestry and watershed management initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Conduct field visits to assess community needs, identify potential project sites, and engage with local stakeholders to foster collaboration and participation.
- Mobilize and build the capacity of local communities on agroforestry and watershed management practices through training workshops, demonstrations, and community outreach activities.
- Oversee the establishment and maintenance of agroforestry plantations and watershed structures, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and best practices.
- Establishing strong backward and forward linkages for the agroforestry projects.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress and impact, collect relevant data, and prepare reports to document outcomes and lessons learned.
- Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to facilitate partnerships, coordinate activities, and leverage resources for project implementation.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation, including project proposals, progress reports, and case studies, to communicate project achievements and insights effectively.
- Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in implementing rural development projects, preferably in agroforestry for watershed management.
- Strong understanding of agroforestry and watershed management principles, with practical experience in project implementation.
- Experience in mobilizing and working with rural communities to promote participatory approaches and community engagement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English and Marathi languages.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region to project sites and partner locations. .
