Sr. Software Engineer/Software Engineer 2 (Database Developer- MS SQL)

Our current technical environment:

Software: .NET Core with C#, GIT, Rest API, OAuth, Microsoft SQL Server

Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture

Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (API Apps, API Management, API Gateways, Azure AD)

Frameworks/Others: TDD (XUnit, NUnit, Moq, Jasmine, Karma etc.), Message Queue (using RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus etc.), ReactJS/Angular 4.0 or higher with TypeScript / JavaScript, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL (ADO.NET and ORMs like EF and Dapper)

What youll do:

Complete responsibility of DB

Join calls with customers and help them resolve if there are any performance issues.

Work with internal team regarding.

Table designs

Indexes design

Query tuning.

Performance issues

From product release standpoint, responsible for all DB related changes/enhancements/artifacts

What we are looking for:

6 to 10 Years of experience in IT

Very strong PL/SQL programming IS A MUST.

Microsoft Azure working experience will be added advantage.

Ability to solve SQL/PLSQL performance related issues.

Communication skills, ability to participate in customer call and clearly communicate.

Autonomously pulls issues from the team backlog or supports other team members with their issues as appropriate.

Understands basic functional and technical requirements of software components.

Contributes to designs of individual stories.

Continuously improves themselves and the code they produce.

Incorporates aspects of information security in their own work.

Develops an understanding of how changes in the teams deliverables affect other teams and the customer.

Identifies operational issues and brings them to the attention of the team.

Autonomously plans and performs routine changes.

Independently resolves incidents around a limited set of service functions.

Independently handles service requests.

Realizes that resource consumption directly affects SaaS profitability.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Autonomously performs small refactorings to improve local software quality.

Is aware of the team's continuous integration pipeline and fixes broken builds as necessary.

Actively provides feedback during code reviews.

Onboards new members to the team and helps develop junior engineers.

Assists associates with implementational and operational issues.

Clearly communicates impediments and actively seeks support by team members to overcome obstacles.

Participates in implementing performance benchmark tests.

Understands company and team visions and the problem domain their team works on.

Demonstrates problem solving and innovation ability.
