Job Description
- Completely review, process, lock, extend and revise mortgage loan rate lock requests submitted by mortgage loan officers or operations team members.
- Oversee detailed, accurate monthly and daily reporting of all lock related activity.
- Update and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor best effort locked loan pipelines and take appropriate actions.
- Create daily secondary reports, review for accuracy, and distribute appropriately.
- Assist Capital Marketing Management with additional duties as needed.
- Approve, deny and negotiate concessions. Set and enforce max concession limits.
- Work with the Pricing Desk to ensure loan eligibility and pricing characteristics function as expected.
- Communicate effectively with Secondary Marketing and Production.
- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of Secondary Markets experience required.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and often stressful environment.
- Must accept coaching and constructive criticism.
- Possess proficient computer skills.
- Work well with other team members and leaders including colleagues, vendors, counterparties, and members of the leadership team.
- Maintain a personal commitment to quality, service, and internal growth within the company.
- Must be data driven and analytical.
