CERES Environmental Services - Finance Controller (4-6 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Monitor actual financial performance against the budget and report variances.

- Prepare management reports and dashboards to provide actionable financial insights.

- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and US GAAP standards.

- Coordinate and support month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Supervise and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals.

- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to ensure data integrity.

- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit requirements.

- Support senior leadership with strategic financial planning and analysis.

- Assist in financial modeling for new projects, investments, or strategic initiatives.

- Review and optimize financial processes and systems for improved efficiency.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives.

Educational Qualifications:

- Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.

Professional Qualifications:

- CPA, CMA, or equivalent financial certification is a plus.

Skills and Experience:

- 4-6 years of proven experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in a leadership or managerial capacity.

- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and other financial regulatory requirements.

- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
