Job Description :

- Primary Deployment Management : Oversee PPE, PROD, FFX, EX, RX, and MC deployments, ensuring they are executed according to the guidelines.

- Daily Monitoring : Review the status of each deployment and provide updates prior to daily monitoring meetings.

- Issue Resolution : Investigate and resolve any failed or stuck deployments, seeking assistance from backup OCE or service owners as needed.

- Documentation and Communication : Update deployment statuses and notes on the AVD Deployments page and communicate any issues or updates during monitoring meetings.

- Pipeline Management : Start and monitor deployment pipelines, ensuring all parameters are correctly specified and initial validation steps are completed.

- Manual Approvals : Handle manual validation and approval processes for deployments, ensuring all necessary checks are performed.

- Rollback Management : Execute rollback procedures when necessary, ensuring previous deployment statuses are validated and any blocking bugs are addressed.

- Feedback and Improvement : Provide feedback on deployment experience and suggest improvements to streamline processes and documentation.

Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of deployment pipelines and release management.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot deployment issues.

- Effective communication skills to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.

- Familiarity with ADO (Azure DevOps) and EV2 (ExpressV2) deployment tools.

- Experience with monitoring and validating deployment processes.

- Knowledge of security protocols for RX and EX environments.

- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments and related services.

- Familiarity with Kusto Query Language (KQL)

The Deployment DRI is responsible for overseeing and managing the deployment processes for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) services. This role ensures that deployments are executed smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with established guidelines. The Deployment DRI will work closely with various AVD teams, including service engineers, on-call cleared engineers, and service owners, to ensure successful deployments and address any issues that arise during the process.
