Site Lead

We are looking for an experienced Site Lead that will be a key part of the Projects (Ground Mount) team. The ideal candidate has demonstrated effective leadership and people management performance in a fast moving and ever challenging environment. Knowledge and experience of solar focused Construction Management is imperative.

This includes responsibility for project managing the design and installation of solar facilities supporting both existing facilities and any new sites. This role will analyze and evaluate different site scenarios and build-out designs with an emphasis on the introduction, construction and operation of solar systems. In addition, this candidate has to support the standardization of the technical and facility related processes and systems required to operate and maintain installed solar systems.

This opportunity combines personnel management, organizational leadership, construction engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management. The opportunity will require the candidiate to travel to various sites across UP, and outside of UP if required in Future.

• Lead, motivate, and manage team

• Develop and manage metrics quantifying performance

• Provide positive, clear, concise, and transparent cross team communication for all aspects of project delivery

• Oversee engineering review process and lead construction scope review and development with internal operational customers on new and retrofit projects

• Support utility interconnection application process and applicable permit/ approvals.

• Oversee and facilitate execution of solar installations involving both existing and new sites within the network

• Enforce contracts and uphold design standards with solar developers, contractors and present formal documentation for approval when required

• Coach and guide all project teams (developers, design engineers, general contractors, sub-contractors, internal stakeholders) throughout the full project lifecycle

• Establish and operate the information systems necessary for effective scheduling and recording of contract work

• Review of designs for conformance to current specifications and standards

• Perform comprehensive budget tracking, forecasting, and management of assigned solar projects

• Conduct receipt, review, and analysis of all proposed cost and time change requests as presented by external project teams

• Review and guide internally requested changes for validity, impact, and ensure timely and cost sensitive incorporation once approved

• Lead and/or assist in negotiations with appropriate entities as required

• B.E/Tech (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical)

• Experience as an Engineer, Senior Construction Manager, and other construction related disciplines

• Experience as a Project Manager, or equivalent, in the solar industry

• Project management experience from due diligence and design phase through implementation and operation

• Experience negotiating solar construction and development contracts
