Job Description
A rapidly growing offshore software development company is looking for a bright, sharp and knowledgeable software QA engineer.
As a Software QA Engineer, your main role is to ensure software products meet high quality standards. You are responsible for conducting thorough testing and validation of applications to detect and report any defects or issues before they reach end-users. This involves collaborating with the development team and stakeholders to understand requirements, creating test plans and strategies, designing test cases, executing tests, and documenting results. Your ultimate goal is to contribute to the delivery of reliable and bug-free software that meets user expectations.
As a Software QA Engineer, your main role is to ensure software products meet high quality standards. You are responsible for conducting thorough testing and validation of applications to detect and report any defects or issues before they reach end-users. This involves collaborating with the development team and stakeholders to understand requirements, creating test plans and strategies, designing test cases, executing tests, and documenting results. Your ultimate goal is to contribute to the delivery of reliable and bug-free software that meets user expectations.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Define test objectives, test plans, and test strategies based on the project requirements.
- Identify and prioritize test cases and scenarios for different software functionalities.
- Execute functional, integration, system, and regression tests to ensure software quality.
- Perform test automation where applicable to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date test artifacts to ensure traceability and auditability.
- Participate in project meetings, providing test status updates, and discussing test-related concerns.
- Communicate test results, findings, and recommendations to the relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify areas of improvement in the software development lifecycle and propose solutions.
- Must have knowledge of Website and Mobile site testing.
- Excellent knowledge of Test methodology Waterfall, Iterative, Agile Scrum.
- Good knowledge on Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Modular, Component, Integration testing.
- Knowledge on Automation testing (Selenium) and Java will be added advantage.
- ISTQB/CASTP-P/Vskills certified will be an added advantage.
